about me

I've had what I'd call an all-you-can-eat career buffet. It started in magazines (counting nipples at Nuts - there was a minimum requirement per issue - I promise I'm not joking) before I moved into B2B publishing. Then I left my sensible and stable job to become a PA to a drag queen (naturally), helping produce their theatre shows - which is where my love of live performance began, taking me from the Edinburgh Fringe to Harlow Playhouse, working my way up to artistic director.

Throughout those years, my heart (& hands) were desperate to make, so I trained part-time in upholstery, then later completed the full accredited AMUSF course. A speculative CV to Dreamland Margate, sent years earlier, finally landed me the job as events producer - so I packed up my life in London and moved to the sea. My first commission as an upholsterer soon followed, and my time behind a desk came to an end, making and creating full time ever since.

Today, I split my time between upholstery, set design and interior design, and I've recently signed with an agent to collaborate with brands on Instagram. So, while it's definitely still a buffet of skills, what sews it all together is the love of making things happen - building something from scratch, saying yes, and enjoying every second.
